I use Walnut Oil to mix oil paint, the supermarket variety, it works great. Fat over lean as usual. I copied this Rembrandt in the 90's, Self portrait Aged 34...I researched and found out he used walnut oil... and a plus is you can use it in your salad dressing...just the oil maybe..not the paint.
