HEAVENLY FLESH comes from a silkscreen print which came from a watercolour I made in the 80’s inspired from many nights in HEAVEN , the gay club in London.
From the time it opened I was there , amazing lights which seemed to move on big swinging bars above your head, the noise, the dancers with their clone attire and their fans, happy chaos, Grace Jones, Divine. HEAVEN also housed CHA CHA’s , a smaller club in an annex which served the 'alternative' art crew, Scarlett was on the door vetting everyone like a John Waters audition, if she thought you were ‘fake odd’ you were sent to the main club door, only the authentic odd could enter Cha Cha’s. Leigh Bowery, Jimmy Somerville, Mark Moore, Fat Tony, and me and mate Kevin etc were there every Tuesday….it was a great club, intense, ID mag just started, Culture Club did gig in HEAVEN, probably the first, and none of them were famous at the time, it was bubbling up and that made it fun.
Giclée printed onto Hahnemühle Bamboo Sustainable paper. 290 gsm. Naturalness and high colour density.

the additional photos are mockups , Black frame? white frame? coloured frame.....they are for visual ideas for inspiration maybe.
